Baby and me yoga with Mindful Mama
Firstly, congratulations on your birthing your precious little one.

Being a mama is absolutely incredible, and it can be tough! Your body can often feel the strain too with aching shoulders from feeding, hips and back from carrying. Whilst you may be feeling like you want to get into exercising, doing so safely is paramount! Not to mention, finding the time (and energy) can be challenging. Sometimes even getting out of the house feels like you've achieved an Olympic medal!

I've been there, I am there, I get it and I've got you!

Baby and me yoga isn't about perfecting postures and improving your skills. The class is designed for you to find a moment to breathe, stretch and reconnect with yourself whilst connecting with baby.

Essentially, it is a postnatal class full of gentle yet energising stretches to relive some of the aches and pains you may have with no need to worry about childcare as baby will be on the mat right alongside you.
It is best to wait at least six weeks following a straightforward vaginal delivery to begin any postnatal classes and at least 10-12 weeks following an uncomplicated caesarean birth or if you enduring severe tearing. If your birth wasn't without complication or straightforward then waiting a little longer may be advised. There is no rush. Listen to your body, and if you feel the need for more time to recover, then take all the time you need!
Postnatal yoga will be waiting for you when you are ready.

Suitable for babies who are pre-crawling.

All classes are enhanced with specialist knowledge and techniques for labour, birth and beyond.

Classes run every Thursday in term time at Retford Leisure Centre.10-11am.

Looking forward to meeting you and your little one, Em x
